How to Use

Fit the CY2M insert into a matching Mitsubishi-style grooving/parting blade holder, ensuring the insert seats fully against the blade's locating faces before clamping. Set the tool tip on centre height, as grooving and parting inserts are highly sensitive to height error. Feed straight into the workpiece at a steady, moderate rate for grooving, or feed through to the centre for parting/cut-off, easing back feed rate as the tool approaches the workpiece axis to avoid snapping the insert. Clear chips regularly, as the narrow cutting width traps swarf more easily than a standard turning insert.
