How to Use

Confirm whether your milling cutter body is designed for the APMT parallelogram shape or the RPMT round shape, as the two are not interchangeable, then match the size code stamped on the packaging to the cutter's insert pocket. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and tighten the clamp screw to the cutter manufacturer's torque setting. APMT inserts are typically used on the periphery/face of square-shoulder and face mills for flat surfacing and shouldering, while RPMT round inserts suit profile milling, plunging and high-feed roughing where a curved cutting edge is needed. Index or replace the insert once wear or chipping is visible on the cutting edge.
