How to Use

Select the bar diameter code matching the minimum bore diameter of your workpiece and the hand orientation matching your machine's turning direction, then mount the bar in a boring bar holder or turret sleeve with the shortest overhang the bore depth allows to minimise deflection and chatter. Fit a CCMT insert into the pocket, tighten the clamp screw to the manufacturer's torque, and set the tool tip on center height before boring. Reduce feed rate and depth of cut as bar overhang increases to control vibration.
