How to Use

• Pre-Drill to Correct Tap Size - Use the correct tap drill diameter for the thread pitch being cut
• Run at Recommended Speed - Use lower spindle speeds for tapping than for drilling the same material
• Apply Cutting Oil - Use tapping fluid to reduce friction and extend tap life, especially in steel
• Use a Tapping Head or Floating Holder - A tension/compression tapping holder reduces thread damage from misalignment
• Reverse to Clear Chips - Periodically reverse in deep or blind holes to clear chips and avoid tap breakage
