Volkel Tap Sets ISO 529 HSS-G - NPT

Genuine VÖLKEL hand taps to ISO 529, HSS-G, for cutting internal NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads. Supplied as a taper + bottoming (No.1 + No.3) set on smaller sizes, or a single tap on the 1" size. Stocked by San Tools in the UAE from 1/8" to 1" for pipe fitting, hydraulic and pneumatic threading.

How to Use

• Drill the Correct Tap Drill Size — use the correct pilot hole diameter for the NPT size you're cutting
• Start with the Taper (No.1) Tap — where supplied, starts the thread straight and true
• Finish with the No.3 Bottoming Tap — cuts a full-form taper thread to the bottom of the hole
• Lubricate and Clear Chips — apply cutting oil and back off periodically to break and clear chips
• Check Taper Fit — test-fit a mating fitting periodically to confirm proper taper engagement
