Volkel Tap Sets ISO 529 HSS-G - G (BSPF)

Genuine VÖLKEL hand taps to ISO 529, HSS-G, for cutting internal G (BSPF - British Standard Pipe Fitting, parallel) threads. Supplied as a set of taper + bottoming taps (No.1 + No.3) for smaller sizes, or a single No.3 finishing tap for larger sizes. Stocked by San Tools in the UAE from 1/8" to 1".

How to Use

• Drill the Correct Tap Drill Size — use the correct pilot hole diameter for the G (BSPF) size you're cutting
• Start with the Taper (No.1) Tap — where supplied, starts the thread straight and true
• Finish with the No.3 Bottoming Tap — cuts a full-form thread to the bottom of the hole
• Lubricate and Clear Chips — apply cutting oil and back off periodically to break and clear chips
• Check the Fit — test-fit a mating fitting or washer periodically to confirm correct engagement
